Consistent branding and logo usage help create a strong, recognizable identity for our school. When people see our logo and colors repeatedly, they associate them with our corporation's positive experiences and values — building trust and loyalty, and making our messages more impactful.
It is the responsibility of all employees to uphold and promote the Wawasee brand by adhering to these guidelines when producing publications, presentations, and other collateral. The Communications Department is responsible for updating, maintaining, monitoring, and upholding the Wawasee brand.
A brand is the overall image and perception people have of an organization. It encompasses the name, logo, design, messaging, and the feelings and experiences associated with it. Being consistent is vital when it comes to communicating effectively.
Consistent branding ensures all communications — whether online, in print, or in person — look professional and unified. This unity reinforces our commitment to our mission and values, making it clear we are dedicated to our students and community.
The primary audiences for this guide are staff at WCSC, district schools, partner organizations, and creative professionals they work with to produce communications materials. All employees are responsible for adherence.
The Wawasee palette is grounded in school tradition. Always use official values to ensure consistency across print and digital. Click any swatch to copy its hex. Due to printing differences, variations may be slightly different.

Our communication model exists in two forms — how information is formally structured to flow today, and how we want it to feel and function. These are not competing ideas; they work together. Understanding both is essential for anyone who communicates on behalf of WCSC.
Our Goal
The Current StructureThe Superintendent, Board, and Cabinet are the formal origin point for district-wide communications. Messages travel outward through building and department Leaders, then to Staff, then to families and the broader community. This structure ensures organizational alignment and accountability — everyone is working from the same information at the same time.
Our Desire
The Aspirational ModelIn our desired model, building-level Leaders — principals, athletic directors, department heads — are the primary communication drivers. They are closest to students, staff, and families. The Supt./Cabinet shifts to a supporting and coordinating role. This model creates communication that is faster, more personal, and more relevant at every level of the organization.
What This Means For You
You Are at the Center
In the desired model, your voice is the most direct connection between WCSC and the people you serve. Communicate proactively and personally with your community. Use brand standards consistently so every message — regardless of which building it comes from — looks and sounds like Wawasee.
You Are the Enabler
Your role is to set the standards, provide the tools, and coordinate district-wide messaging. Building leaders carry your vision forward. The brand guide you are reading right now is a direct expression of that responsibility — equipping every communicator in the district to represent WCSC well.
You Are a Brand Ambassador
Every email, every social media post, every flyer, and every conversation is a reflection of WCSC. Consistent, thoughtful, organized communication — using district materials and brand standards — builds trust with families and the community over time. Your professionalism is the brand in action.
